Track and Field Heads to Nashville for Final Meet of the Regular Season

TROY, Ala.- Troy track and field is set for the Music City Challenge in Nashville this Friday and Saturday for its final meet of the regular season, before heading to the Sun Belt Conference Outdoor Championships in two weeks.
The meet is set to begin Friday morning with the men's javelin at 10 a.m. The running events will begin later in the day at 5:15 p.m. with the 100-meter hurdles prelims.
The Trojans are coming off a strong showing at Penn Relays, highlighted by Aaliyah Murphy running 58.71 in the 400m hurdles to rewrite her program record for the second time this season.
Tayjo Oppong threw a personal best 53.58m in the men's discus to bring home silver.
Malik Humphrey also had a podium performance in the men's long jump, finishing third with a mark of 7.27m.
