Men’s Tennis Adds Regular Season Finale

TROY, Ala. - Troy men's tennis is set to take on Abraham Baldwin Agricultural College for an away midweek matchup, its final match before the Sun Belt Championship.
Troy (21-4) is coming off of a successful doubleheader from the weekend, claiming a 7-0 victory against both Tuskegee and Eastern Florida State.
The Trojans earned the advantage point in both competitions after sophomore Thiago Drozdowski and freshman Stephan Tavares Noale won on Court 1, while senior Yeray Andres Pastor and freshman Ryusei Miyazato won on Court 3.
Andres Pastor and Miyazato are now 4-0 in doubles this season, as Drozdowski and Tavares Noale are 10-3.
Troy also dominated in singles play during both competitions, with each Trojan winning their court through straight sets. Sophomore Hiiro Sakamoto is 18-0 in singles this season, which is the most singles wins on the team.
Troy is on a fourteen-match winning streak and looks to add to it during Tuesday's match. First serve is set for 1:30 p.m. at the ABAC Tennis Courts.
Following Tuesday, the Trojans will turn their attention to the Sun Belt Championship in Rome, Ga., which begins with the First Round on Thursday, April 16.
