Men’s Tennis Match vs. Alabama A&M Postponed With 3-1 Lead

TROY, Ala. - After losing the doubles point to start off the day, Troy men's tennis came back in the singles matches and claimed the 3-1 advantage against Alabama A&M on Friday.

Troy (8-4) fell short to Alabama A&M (0-6) during the doubles matches, with sophomore Juwan Bae and senior Yin Chih Lan winning on Court 2 just as senior Tasso Moreira and freshman Eduardo de Benedictis Andreta won on Court 3.

While the Bulldogs earned the advantage, the Trojans turned things around in singles play, as junior Luciano Alcocer, sophomore Thiago Drozdowski and senior Yeray Andres Pastor claimed finished courts with straight set wins.

Due to sudden poor weather, the singles matches came to a pause with Courts 1, 4 and 5 still in action. The match will finish at a later date.

The Trojans will have a day to rest and prepare before taking on UAB Sunday afternoon at the Lunsford Tennis Complex.
