TROY, Ala. – Troy women's golf head coach Randy Keck announced Friday the signing of Phenyo Sebata to join the Trojans beginning with the 2026-27 season.
"We are very excited to add Phenyo to our 2026 recruiting class," Keck said. "She brings a lot of experience and success in big golf tournaments. She has an amazing short game and competitive spirit under pressure. Phenyo will add a lot of depth and experience, even coming in as a freshman, she will be expected to play right away."
Sebata, a native of Pretoria, South Africa, peaked in the top 800 in the WAGR rankings during her amateur career, has been a member of the GolfRSA National Team since 2002, ranks 15th among amateurs in the National Women's Open standings, and is the eighth-ranked junior national.
She picked up amateur wins at the Junior African Challenge in the summer of 2024 and the GNGU Junior Girls Open last February, while finishing third at the Zimbabwe Junior Open in the spring of 2024.
