Women’s Tennis Prepares for Road Trip

TROY, Ala. – After a successful homestand the Troy women's tennis team is set for a trip to the Sunshine State. The Trojans are preparing to do battle with Florida A&M before taking on Florida to close out this week's action.

Troy is 3-1 on the spring season, and 2-0 at home following a 7-0 victory over Alabama A&M on Saturday. The day was highlighted by all six Trojans claiming victory in singles play. Maria Guirguis and Leena Metwally are now both 4-0 in singles action.

Florida A&M enters play 1-4 after suffering a 7-0 defeat at the hands of Stetson on Sunday. The day before the Rattlers claimed their first victory of the year in a 4-0 sweep of Edward Waters. In 2025, the Trojans and Rattlers met, Troy triumphed 6-1.

Florida enters play boasting a 2-1 record with their last action coming as part of the ITA Kickoff Weekend. Florida defeated fellow SEC foe Ole Miss 4-2 to kick off the weekend. The next day the Gators fell to N.C State, 4-3.
