Women’s Basketball Returns Home to Face Texas State

TROY, Ala. – Troy women's basketball returns to Trojan Arena for the first time in nearly a month on Wednesday, Nov. 7, at 6 p.m., facing Texas State.
Last season, the Trojans (11-3, 2-1 SBC) swept the Bobcats (6-7, 2-1 SBC) to extend their win streak to 10 in the all-time series.
To celebrate Troy women's basketball's first home game in 2026, Troy athletics is giving away 'Frosted Cups' for the first 200 fans with a concession special of pulled pork nachos. General admission tickets are $3.34 with the promo code '334', where fans will be treated with Troy cheer performing their UCA Nationals routine during halftime with a special encore performance 10 minutes after the game.

In their first full week of league games, Troy traveled to the Cajundome for its fourth road win against Louisiana in the last five seasons before falling at Southern Miss. Between both games, all five starters averaged double-figures in the scoring column. Emani Jenkins led the way with 18 points, followed by Fortuna Ngnawo (15), Zay Dyer (13), Rachel Leggett (12.5) and Ashley Baez (11). Dyer also tied Donette McNair in career Division-I rebounds with 767 on an 11-rebound performance against Southern Miss.
Troy hasn't lost to Texas State since Jan. 6, 2018, with 10 straight victories over the opposition. Last season, the Trojans claimed their largest margin of victory over any SBC team on the road, winning 105-58. Then, Troy invited Texas State to Trojan Arena, where it won 86-66. Wednesday night will mark the final meeting in Trojan Arena between the programs, with both in the SBC, as Texas State leaves for the Pac-12 at the end of the season.
Through three league games, Dyer and Ngnawo averaged a double-double. Dyer has led the way in scoring with 17 points and 11 rebounds. She also has two blocks and two steals per game. Meanwhile, Ngnawo leads Troy with 14.7 rebounds and 16.3 points. Troy has dominated the rebound battle in all three matchups with 55 boards per game and a plus-16.3 rebound margin. Those rebounding numbers have moved Troy to third in the nation at 49.3, trailing Oklahoma (53.3) and LSU (49.6) for the top spot.

Texas State defeated Louisiana and ULM before falling to James Madison in league games. On the road, the Bobcats sit at 1-4 with their lone victory coming at Texas A&M – Corpus Christi.
