TROY, Ala. – Following a highly successful year for Troy basketball last season, Troy athletics is proud to announce the annual Tipoff Banquet is set for Wednesday, Oct. 8, from 6-8 p.m. in Trojan Arena. Doors for the event are scheduled to open at 5:30 p.m.
"We are super excited about the basketball Tipoff Banquet," head men's basketball coach Scott Cross said. "It is a great time to connect with our fans and supporters and build relationships that will last a lifetime. We look forward to an amazing year for both men's and women's basketball, and we cannot wait to start the season beginning with the Tipoff Banquet on October 8."
Troy's annual Tipoff Banquet brings together its fans and basketball programs for personal interaction and an opportunity for a Q&A panel featuring players and coaches. The banquet also features a dinner buffet, drinks, prize drawings and a silent auction. One notable inclusion to this year's event is that the men's basketball 2024-25 Sun Belt Conference Championship and women's basketball WNIT runner-up banners will be unveiled at the event.
Those wishing to attend the banquet can purchase individual tickets for $100 or a full table for $625. A table includes six seats plus the opportunity to be joined by two basketball student-athletes. There are also sponsorship opportunities available for $1,000. The sponsorship consists of a full table with recognition at the banquet. All proceeds will directly benefit the men's and women's basketball programs.
"There is so much excitement around the Tipoff Banquet because this event announces that the new season is near," head women's basketball coach Chanda Rigby said. "It is such a special time as our players get to sit at tables and interact with our fans. We can't wait to introduce our new men's and women's basketball teams at the Tipoff Banquet, and we appreciate each person who supports us by being there."
Tickets are available at TroyTrojans.com/Tipoff or by contacting Gary Wilbert via email at gwilbert@troy.edu or by phone at 334-372-3689. Basketball season tickets are also available online and through the ticket office. Visit TroyTrojans.com/tickets or call 877-878-WINS.
