TROY, Ala. – The Troy men's tennis team kicks off the 2025 fall season with a trip to Tulsa, Okla., for the ITA All-American Championships. Yeray Andres Pastor and Luciano Alcocer will represent the Trojans in the event, while Louis Boilevin and Hiiro Sakamoto are on the alternate list.
"We're ready and excited to go to our first tournament," head coach Rolando Vargas said. "The ITA All-Americans is a very tough tournament with the best players in the nation. It's going to be very competitive, and we'll try to advance as far as we can. We need to step up, fight, and leave it all on the court for Trojan Nation."
Andres Pastor is set to compete in the singles main draw as he enters his senior season. Alcocer joins him for the main draw doubles event, with the round of 32 starting on Saturday afternoon. Alcocer posted a 24-7 record in doubles play last season, while Andres Pastor went 14-9.
Andres Pastor -- a Valencia, Spain, native -- went 17-7 in singles play last season, including 9-1 at line two in the spring. Andres Pastor's first match begins at 9 a.m., and the main draw is scheduled to run through Sunday, Sept. 28.
