TROY, Ala. – The Troy women's basketball program had its 2025-26 Sun Belt Conference schedule announced by the league office Thursday afternoon as the team prepares for another historic run after a WNIT runner-up finish and a top-4 seed for the 10th straight season.
"We are excited that our conference schedule is now set," head coach Chanda Rigby said. "We will immediately begin preparing and planning to make a run at another Sun Belt title."
Sun Belt play opens with its lone league matchup of 2025 as the Trojans face Old Dominion on Dec. 17 in Chartway Arena, before a long break that sends them to the Cajundome to face Louisiana (Jan. 1) and the Reed Green Coliseum for a date with Southern Miss (Jan. 3).
Troy's conference opener sees Texas State come from the Lone Star State to Trojan Arena on Jan. 7, before inviting the defending Sun Belt Conference Tournament champions, Arkansas State, and aiming to avenge a semifinal exit to the Red Wolves.
The following week sees Troy head back on the road to face ULM (Jan. 14) and Texas State (Jan. 17). Then, the Trojans take on the Peach State teams in the SBC with a meeting against Georgia Southern and Georgia State in Trojan Arena on Jan. 22 and Jan. 24, respectively.
Fellow WNIT member Coastal Carolina awaits the Trojans in Conway, S.C., on Jan. 31 after they face Marshall on Jan. 28 in the Cam Henderson Center – the first time Troy traveled to face the Thundering Herd since 2023.
Over the next three weeks Troy stays in the friendly confines of Trojan Arena with dates against App State (Feb. 4), Louisiana (Feb. 12), ULM (Feb. 14) and Southern Miss (Feb. 21). In between, the Trojans welcome in-state rival South Alabama for a battle on Feb. 18 – Troy's five game slate of home SBC matchups also sees them travel to a MAC opponent on Feb. 7 that will be determined at a later date.
Troy ends its regular season on the road as they head to Jonesboro, Ark., to take on the Red Wolves of Arkansas State on Feb. 24 before closing out their journey at in-state rival South Alabama on Feb. 27.
The 18-game conference schedule culminates on March 3 when Troy begins the Sun Belt Conference Tournament, which goes until the championship game on March 9 in Pensacola, Fla.
