TROY, Ala. - Troy soccer finalized its 2025 coaching staff on Monday as head coach Stuart Gore announced the addition of IMG Academy's Eli Feuer as assistant coach.
Feuer joins former Troy captain Delaney Wells as assistants, as Wells joined the coaching staff this spring following the conclusion of her playing career.
"Adding Delaney to the staff was an easy decision," Gore said. "From my earliest experience coaching her, it was clear she possessed the qualities necessary to excel at the collegiate level. She demonstrates composure, communicates with confidence, and leads naturally. These qualities are reflected in her role as captain at two different programs."
"Delaney and I are excited to welcome Eli to our coaching staff," Gore said. "His experience at IMG Academy working with elite goalkeepers in a highly competitive environment has prepared him well for the demands of the collegiate game. Eli brings exceptional technical knowledge and a passion for developing goalkeepers, and we're confident he will make an immediate impact on our program."
Wells spent four of the five seasons of her playing career under Gore. She was a sophomore when Gore was hired at Northwestern State in 2021, and she transferred to Troy in 2023 for her final two seasons after Gore was hired to lead the Trojans. The Flower Mound, Texas native served as a captain at both programs, scoring 11 goals with five assists throughout her career as a midfielder, including a team-leading three goals for the Trojans in 2024.
"I'm excited to officially join the coaching staff and to continue being part of the Troy women's soccer family," Wells said. "We have a talented group of girls, and I'm looking forward to working alongside them to reach our full potential. I can't wait to contribute to their growth and to see what we will accomplish together this season."
Feuer has served as the goalkeeper coach at IMG Academy in Bradenton, Fla., since 2020, helping lead one of the nation's elite high school programs. During his playing career, the Bexley, Ohio native had stints as a goalkeeper at Earlham College (2014-15) and Wilmington College (2015-17). Feuer graduated from Ohio State in 2019 and served as an assistant coach at Bexley High School during his time as an OSU student.
Feuer owns over a decade of experience coaching goalkeepers, having coached at the Geosas Goalkeeper Academy in Columbus, Ohio, since 2014 and having served as a staff coach and evaluator at the Ohio South Olympic Development Program since 2016. Feuer also founded the popular Instagram page, @goalkeepers which boasts over 500k followers.
"I'm excited to join Troy University as an assistant coach working with the goalkeepers," Feuer said. "It's a great opportunity to be part of a strong program, and I'm looking forward to working with the team and current coaching staff, and helping contribute to a successful season."
Troy soccer opens its 2025 campaign with a trip to Murray State on August 14.
