Troy Teammates Adam Godwin and Clint Robinson Selected to Wiregrass Sports Hall of Fame

TROY, Ala. - Former Troy teammates Adam Godwin and Clint Robinson were selected as members of the Wiregrass Sports Hall of Fame 2025 Class this week.
Godwin, an Enterprise, Ala., native and current Troy assistant coach, starred for the Trojans from 2004-05 and was named the Atlantic Sun Player of the Year and a Second Team All-American in 2005. Godwin hit for a .374 average in the cardinal and white and owns the Troy record for career stolen bases (112), which included an NCAA-best and Troy single-season record 84 stolen bases in 2005.Â
The outfielder was selected in the 11th round of the 2005 MLB Draft by the Los Angeles Dodgers, playing four seasons in the minor leagues. Godwin kickstarted his coaching career as a minor league assistant for the Pittsburgh Pirates (2015-18) and Philadelphia Phillies (2018-19) before returning to Troy in 2020.Â
Robinson was a four-year starter for the Trojans from 2004-07, earning All-Sun Belt honors in 2006 and 2007 as Troy made back-to-back trips to the NCAA Tournament. The Dothan, Ala., native ranks third in program history in RBIs (178), fourth in runs scored (169) and hits (257), sixth in home runs (37), eighth in doubles (47).
The infielder was a 25th round selection by the Kansas City Royals in 2007 and made his major league debut with the Royals in 2012. Robinson played four seasons in the big leagues, with the Royals, Los Angeles Dodgers and Washington Nationals.Â
The 31st Annual Wiregrass Sports Hall of Fame induction ceremony is scheduled for August 23 at the Wiregrass Rehabilitation Center in Dothan, Ala.
