TROY, Ala. – Troy Sr. Association Athletics Director and Chief Health Care Administrator Alyson Gramley has been selected for induction in the Alabama Athletic Trainers Association Hall of Fame this summer.
Gramley, who was promoted to her current role in the summer of 2021, will be officially inducted into the ALATA Hall of Fame at the association's annual Clinical Symposium & Members' Meeting on June 6 in Trussville, Ala.
In addition to her responsibilities with Troy Athletics, Gramley coordinates all of Troy's orthopedic clinic visits with Andrews Sports Medicine and Orthopedics Center and developed Troy's Mental Health Best Practice Plan and Emergency Action Plan. Additionally, Gramley spent the 2006-07 academic year assigned to the Alabama Sports Medicine Outreach Program. This program was a joint effort between Troy and Dr. James Andrews' orthopedic group designed to assist area high schools.
Gramley earned her bachelor's degree in athletic training from Troy in 1999, then taught science at Pike Liberal Arts in Troy and Dixie Academy in Louisville, Ala.
Following her teaching stint, she returned to Troy as a graduate assistant in the athletic training department. While there, she worked on her master's degree in education, which she earned in 2004.
