Women’s Golf Heads to Florida State Match Up

TROY, Ala. – Just three days after wrapping up play in the Spring Break Shootout, the Troy women's golf team returns to the links this weekend for the Florida State Match Up at the Seminole Legacy Golf Course.
Teams will play 18 holes on Friday, Saturday and Sunday on the par-72, 6,250-yard course, which is set to host an NCAA Regional on the men's side this spring. The field of 12 teams features seven clubs inside the top 75 nationally, including No. 7 Florida State and No. 25 Houston.
Troy climbed a pair of spots on the leaderboard on the final round of the Spring Break Shootout on Tuesday jumping past Jacksonville State and St. John's into seventh place. Senior Alyssa Mercado led Troy, as she finished in a tie for 14th place, her best finish of the spring.
