No. 18 Troy Heads to Jacksonville State for In-State Matchup

TROY, Ala. - No. 18 Troy is set for an in-state midweek battle, as they'll head to Jacksonville, Ala., to take on Jacksonville State on Tuesday.
The Trojans are in the midst of a nine-game road swing and are coming off a 2-1 series win at USC Upstate over the weekend. Leadoff hitter Steven Meier leads the Trojans' offense with a .441 batting average and is leading the nation with 31 runs scored while leading the Sun Belt with 11 stolen bases.
First baseman Blake Cavill has been productive in the three-hole, drawing the fourth most walks in the nation (22) while ranking 12th in on-base percentage (.601). Catcher Brooks Bryan is off to a hot start to the season, leading the Sun Belt in RBIs (28) after setting the Troy record with 85 a season ago.
Adam Falinski takes the mound for the Trojans after starting Troy's last three Tuesday games at SEC-foes Auburn, Mississippi State and Alabama. The senior right-hander has a 4.76 ERA on the season, with a 4.26 ERA in his three starts.
