Troy Snags Three Top-Five Finishes on Day 2 of Sun Belt Indoor Track & Field Championships

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. - The Troy track & field wrapped up the Sun Belt Indoor Track & Field Championships on Tuesday, picking up three top-five finishes.
Aaliyah Murphy, who advanced to the 400m finals after putting up a time of 55.95 on Monday, set a new personal record (55.43) and finished fourth. Haley Wilson PR'd in the 800 (2:11.78)Â on Monday and topped that number on Tuesday (2:10.38), finishing fifth.
In the shot put, Biniosa Ezukuse snagged a top-five finishing, finishing in fifth place with a 15.17m throw.
The Trojans finish the Sun Belt Indoor Championships with four top-five finishes, as Kady Schwietz won the pentathlon on Monday with a school-record 3809 points.

"Day two went well to be honest, for what we had coming back to finals. We had two freshmen make finals and they both represented themselves well. Bini did extremely well in the shot put in an extremely loaded field. We are still excited about Kady Schwietz winning a Conference Championship yesterday. As a team it wasn't where we want to be. However, we had some things go well. I am excited to get outdoors.
