Softball Takes on Faulkner to Continue Fall Ball
10/16/2025 9:14:00 AM | Softball
TROY, Ala. – The Troy softball team continues its fall ball slate when the Faulkner Lady Eagles come to town on Friday night. The Trojans look to continue developing as the fall continues.
I had a lot of battles with Faulkner when I was at AUM, so I know that coaching staff really well and they'll be strong, said head coach Eric Newell. They like to bunt, so we'll have to work on our bunt coverages and make sure we're ready to defend. It'll be fun to see some familiar faces, but we're not going to be too easy on them.

Week Three Recap
Last week, the Trojans took on Gulf Coast State and Tallahassee State College in a pair of games. The Trojans came out on top in both, besting the Lady Commodores 15-0 before beating the Eagles 21-2.
Troy started off the week with Gulf Coast State and surrendered just two hits while clicking in every facet on offense. Esmee Ames and Emma Banks each worked hitless outings, with Ames not allowing a single baserunner across three frames – she struck out three.
Mia Tidmore logged four hits and two RBIs, with Dailynn Motes and McKinnon Howard also collecting three hits apiece. Five Trojans had multiple RBIs, including newcomers Sophia Jenkins, Ella Cunningham and Lydia Kirby.
Against Tallahassee State College, the Trojans raked. Kam Munson fueled the offensive outburst with a three-run homer and an RBI double off the wall, flashing serious power. Freshman Jasmine Lawrence recorded a two-hit game, driving in one run.
In the circle, Cunningham dominated with six strikeouts across three innings of work. Abby Lovell followed it up with four more punchouts in her three-inning outing.
