TROY, Ala. - Troy Baseball unveiled its 2026 schedule Wednesday, featuring 27 games at Riddle-Pace Field and a road lineup packed with top-tier competition.
The 2026 schedule features 11 opponents that finished last season in the Top 100 of the NCAA RPI. Troy's home slate is highlighted by series with Maryland, Louisiana and South Alabama and a midweek matchup with Alabama, while the Trojans make trips to Mississippi State, Georgia, Vanderbilt, Alabama, East Carolina and Southern Miss.
"The '26 schedule presents itself as one of the toughest non-conference slates in all of college baseball," head coach Skylar Meade said. "Playing six games against the SEC, five on the road, the ECU tournament, and road games against multiple top-level programs will be a lot of fun. Of course, we play in a top-five conference, so it will be a bear, as always, for those 30 games. We have a lot of work to do over the next 120 days, but we will be prepared come mid-February."
In the non-conference, Troy opens the season on the road for the first time since 2009 with a trip to Mercer (Feb. 13-15), while the home opener at Riddle-Pace Field is a series with Campbell (Feb. 20-22). The Trojans head to East Carolina for the 23rd Annual Keith LeClair Classic (Feb. 27-Mar. 1) to face Western Carolina, ECU, and Rutgers, while the final non-conference series is back in Troy against Big Ten opponent Maryland (Mar. 6-8).
The Trojans will also make four consecutive midweek trips to the SEC to start the season, beginning with Mississippi State, whom the Trojans defeated in Starkville last season (Feb. 17), followed by Georgia (Feb. 25), Vanderbilt (Mar. 4), and Alabama (Mar. 10).
The Sun Belt Conference opener is slated for March 13-15 against Old Dominion, while the Trojans will also host Arkansas State (Apr. 2-4), Louisiana (Apr. 17-19), App State (May 1-3), and South Alabama (May 8-10) at Riddle-Pace Field. Sun Belt road trips include Southern Miss (Mar. 20-22), Georgia Southern (Mar. 27-29), Texas State (Apr. 10-12), Marshall (Apr. 24-26) and ULM (May 14-16).
In the midweek, Troy heads to Alabama State (Mar. 17) before the Hornets return to Troy (Mar. 31). The Trojans also have a home-and-home series with Florida A&M, with games scheduled for March 25 in Tallahassee and April 8 in Troy.
The Trojans will also host in-state foes Samford (Mar. 24) and Jacksonville State (Apr. 21) before a return trip from Alabama (May 5) and the final midweek game of the season against UAB (May 12).
On the road, the Trojans make a pit stop to face New Orleans (Apr. 14) on their way back to Troy from Texas State and will have a second meeting with Georgia in Athens (Apr. 28), following the trip to Marshall.
The Sun Belt Conference Tournament returns to Riverwalk Stadium in Montgomery, Ala., (May 19-24) as the league's top ten teams look to crown a conference champion and earn an automatic bid to an NCAA Regional.
The Trojans are coming off a 39-21 season and reached a No. 14 national ranking by Baseball America, the highest in program history. Troy returns 14 players from that squad, including key starters Blake Cavill, Steven Meier, Sean Darnell and Jimmy Janicki, while Meade and staff added 24 newcomers and the nation's No. 19 transfer portal class according to 64Analytics.
