Troy Continues Indoor Track & Field Season at Jimmy Carnes Invitational

TROY, Ala. - The Troy track & field team continues its indoor season on Friday at the Jimmy Carnes Invitational in Gainesville, Fla.
The Trojans are coming off to a strong start to the season at the Birmingham Indoor Icebreaker last month, with freshman Haley Wilson taking first place in the 800m (2:15.50) and fellow freshman Aaliyah Murphy nabbing third place in the 400 (57.47).
Additionally, the Trojans snagged top ten finishes from Lexi Roberts in the in the 800m (sixth – 2:22.25), Joy Edward in the weight throw (seventh – 16.56m), Jordan Bailey in the triple jump (eighth – 11.56m), Vega Kaagstroem in the high jump (ninth – 1.55m) and Biniosa Ezukuse in the weight throw (10th – 16.04m).
The Trojans will be competing in 14 different events on Friday, with the men set to make their season debuts.
