Weather Wreaks Havoc on Troy’s Trip to Pirate Collegiate Classic

GREENVILLE, N.C. – Poor weather and darkness ended play early Monday at the Pirate Collegiate Classic with teams still on the course in the middle of the second round. Troy is in ninth place but will be just six shots back of third when teams resume play Tuesday morning.

The tournament format called for tee times for Monday's 36 holes instead of a shotgun start, meaning some teams are only through four holes of the second round. Due to the amount of holes left for a majority of the teams on the course, the third round of the tournament has been canceled.

Victoria Stutts is Troy's clubhouse leader at 4-over through 27 holes, while Katelynn Altese is 5-over, Laura Fangmeyer is 6-over and Manya Saini and Alyssa Mercado are 7-over.
