TROY, Ala. – Troy's jam-packed week continues after a pair of midweek victories over Alabama State and Jacksonville State when the program welcomes Arkansas State to Riddle-Pace Field for the three-day Sun Belt series.

Post Double Midweek Action
The in-state midweek games against Alabama State and Jacksonville State delivered on all levels of entertainment and victory, 14-3 and 18-10, respectively. The Trojans (20-11, 4-5 SBC) totaled 27 hits, 31 RBIs and four homers to push their midweek record to 7-2.
Troy tallied three homers and got multiple hits from Ethan Kavanagh (2), Kole Myers (3), Tremayne Cobb Jr. (3), Kyle Mock (2) and Aidan Gilroy (2) to run-rule Alabama State through seven innings. The top of the second set the tone for the next five innings when singles for Mock and Kavanagh followed a trio of walks to take a 3-0 lead. Then, the sixth and seventh innings saw a combined nine runs for Troy to finish off the Hornets.
Game two saw nothing short of wild action, starting when Troy took an 8-0 lead through the first three innings. The second inning alone saw seven runs by way of a Mikey Bello 2-run single, followed by a Myers RBI-double, a pair of RBI singles from Butcher and Bryan, an HBP for Mock and a sac fly by Gilroy.
The Gamecocks fired back with a 10-run fifth inning off just five hits to take a 10-9 lead. However, the hometown kid Peyton Watts delivered the game-winning run in the sixth when he doubled to right field, scoring Cobb Jr. and Mock, 11-9. The rest was all Troy as a four-run seventh inning and three-run eighth put the wild game to rest, 18-10.
Myers led the team through the midweek in on-base percentage (.833), slugging percentage (1.333) and batting average (.667) with four hits through six at-bats – totaled eight runs, one double, a homer and four RBIs. Bryan also topped 1.000 in slugging percentage with a 1.100 with five hits, five runs, two homers, eight RBIs and 11 total bases. Meanwhile, Kavanagh matched Bryan in hits with five while having two runs and two RBIs.
The weekend series in Riddle-Pace Field marks the first time the Red Wolves (16-15, 3-6 SBC) face head coach Skylar Meade on his home field, sitting at 3-3 overall against ASU. The Troy-Arkansas State matchup has also split the last 10 games at 5-5. However, last year's series in Jonesboro saw Troy grab the series win, 2-1, with back-to-back wins to open the series.
Arkansas State comes off a 13-0 midweek loss at the hands of SEC rival Arkansas, where it was held to a single hit by Blake Burris in the top of the third. Through 31 games, the Red Wolves remain at the top of the SBC charts in triples, totaling seven to rank second and 74th nationally. Their triples come from Daedrick Cail and Wil French, who've notched two to tie for fourth in the league and 93rd in the country.

• The higher the scoreboard gets, the chance for Troy's victory increases as it sits 18-5 when the team scores 6-plus runs and 10-0 when scoring 10-plus, as opposed to 2-6 when scoring five or less.
• Bryan became the first Trojan to have 7-plus RBIs in a single game since Butcher had nine RBIs
