Scott Taylor Renfroe Named SBC Player of the Week

TROY, Ala. – Troy junior kicker Scott Taylor Renfroe has been named the Sun Belt Conference Special Teams Player of the Week, the league office announced Monday.
Renfroe scored nine points in Troy's season-ending victory over Southern Miss this past Saturday at The Vet. He connected on six extra points and boomed a career-best 50-yard field goal during the win.
It is Renfroe's second career SBC weekly honor, and he is the fourth Trojan to earn SBC Player of the Week this season – Damien Taylor, Matthew Caldwell and Devonte Ross.
Renfroe finished the season connecting on 11-of-13 field goals to improve to 30-of-37 for his career. He'll enter his senior season seventh all-time in program history in career field goals (20 shy of the program record) and 15th in career scoring, with 174 points.
Troy ended the 2024 campaign winning three of its final four games, including a 52-20 victory over Southern Miss this past weekend.
