Women’s Golf Finishes Fourth at Lady Red Wolves Fall Classic

JONESBORO, Ark. – Victoria Stutts fired her first under-par round as a Trojan to lead Troy women's golf in Tuesday's final round of the Lady Red Wolves Fall Classic. The Trojans finished fourth in the 17-team field, while Stutts tied for third place individually.

Stutts carded three birdies on the back nine to turn her card from 2-over to 1-under by the end of the round, thanks to a 33 on the back of Sage Meadows Country Club. The third-place finish was her second top 10 performance in three tournaments this fall.

Troy opened the day in second place after shooting 9-over in Monday's two rounds but slipped a pair of spots after a combined 15-over par in Tuesday's final round. ULM won the team title by 12 shots over Little Rock, while Central Arkansas was one shot better than Troy in third.

Laura Fangmeyer recorded her second top 10 of the year after tying for sixth place at 1-over after shooting 75 on Tuesday. Stutts and Fangmeyer tied for sixth in the field with 10 birdies over the 54 holes of play, as Stutts was fourth on the par 4s, with a 3.97 average, while Fangmeyer was third on the par 5s, with a 4.75 average.

Katelynn Altese picked up her first top 25 finish of the year after tying for 23^rd place at 8-over, thanks to her 2-under 70 in the second round. She shot 8-over on Tuesday, while Alyssa Mercado tied for 45^th place after shooting 5-over on the day. Mathilda Ringblom tied for 85^th in her collegiate debut and Brinson Hall tied for 81^st, playing as an individual.

Troy will tee it up one more time in the fall when it travels to West Point, Miss., for The Ally hosted by Mississippi State next week.
