Women’s Golf Readies for Lady Red Wolves Fall Classic

TROY, Ala. – Troy women's golf hits the links for the fourth time this fall with a trip to the Sage Meadows Country Club for the Lady Red Wolves Classic on the par-72, 6,164-yard course. Teams will play 36 holes Monday and 18 holes on Tuesday.

The Trojans are coming off an eighth-place finish at the Pirate Collegiate Classic two weeks ago in an event that was shortened to two rounds. Despite playing in three tournaments this year, Troy only has seven rounds under its belt.

Laura Fangmeyer is responsible for Troy's two rounds under-par so far this fall, including a 2-under 70 to close out play at the Pirate Classic. She enters the week leading the Trojans with a 0.86 score vs. par, while Victoria Stutts (2.20) and Brinson Hall (2.50) are close behind.

Fangmeyer has finished in the top 25 in all three events, while Stutts tied for eighth her first time on the course as a Trojan at the Green Wave Invitational and Hall was Troy's No. 2 finisher in the season opener at Clemson. Hall will play as an individual for the Trojans this week in Arkansas, while Alyssa Mercado and Katelynn Altese return to head coach Randy Keck's lineup and Mathilda Ringblom will make her Troy debut.

Mercado finished 10^th at the Green Wave Invitational and has seen four of her five rounds this year count towards the team card, while Altese's card has counted 5-of-7 times this year.

Teams are set to play a shotgun starting Monday at 8:15 a.m.
