Troy Athletics Announces Football Gameday Enhancements for 2023 Season

TROY, Ala. – Football gameday returns to Veterans Memorial Stadium on Troy's campus in just nine days, and in preparation for the return of the defending Sun Belt and Cure Bowl champions, Troy Athletics announced Thursday its comprehensive list of gameday improvements and enhancements for the 2023 season.

"We only get six or seven opportunities each year to host our amazing fans at The Vet, and we want to make sure it is a memorable experience whether it's your first visit or 100th visit," Director of Athletics Brent Jones said. "We want to offer the best gameday experience and fan experience possible and as such our entire staff analyzes and breaks down every aspect of the gameday experience to find avenues of continuous improvement. We are excited to open the gates to The Vet in less than two weeks for another historic season of Troy Football."

The updates and enhancements surrounding Troy Football gamedays cover six different areas encompassing the entire day, from Tailgate Terrace, to the stadium experience, tickets, parking and fans in premium areas. Below is the full list of updates fans can expect at The Vet in 2023.

Tailgate Terrace

The updates and enhancements surrounding Troy Football gamedays cover six different areas encompassing the entire day, from Tailgate Terrace, to the stadium experience, tickets, parking and fans in premium areas. Below is the full list of updates fans can expect at The Vet in 2023.

Tailgate Terrace
- Kids Zone, presented by Troy Pediatric Clinic and Collegiate Health, will feature various Troy Athletics teams throughout the season, along with inflatables and games.Â
- Addition of an open Fan Area directly in front of the pregame concert stage
- A full lineup of bands for the entire season beginning with The Springs on Sept. 2. Additional acts include The Park Band, POPulus, 12Eleven and more for the upcoming season.Â
- New food trucks as part of the Food Truck Alley along University Blvd. in the lead-up to kickoff.Â
- Barnes & Noble Stadium Store setup on Tailgate Terrace.Â
- Return of the Horn Beverage Beer Garden.Â
- Public address announcements made over the loudspeakers to signal the time remaining until Trojan Walk begins
- Addition of featured teams in the Kids Zone before home games.

- Updated section signage throughout all sections of the stadium.
- New wayfinding signage placed throughout all sections of the stadium.Â
- Additional beer stands added throughout the main concourse to add points of sale.
- Troy branded tents to be utilized for new satellite stands throughout the main concourse to add additional points of sale.
- New menu boards and a more efficient ordering system to decrease the amount of time in line at concessions.
- Additional grills and cooking stations located within the primary concession stands to decrease the amount of time in line at concessions and continue to improve the quality of service.
- Addition of new food vendors within the main concourses to provide additional points of sale for concessions.Â
- New complimentary Sun Screen stations throughout the concourse courtesy of the Alabama Department of Public Health.Â
- New Fan Services kiosk in the South Concourse near Gate 1.Â
- Return of the Water Monsters provided by Stone Cold Heating and Cooling, where fans may fill water bottles with free water to remain hydrated throughout the game.Â
- Rebranded first aid station near the South videoboard sponsored by Troy Regional Medical Center.Â
- Specialty food items available at main concessions stands for each home football game.
- Misting fans available throughout the concourses for patrons to utilize throughout the game.
- Addition of Barnes & Noble as the new stadium store provider for football gamedays on the West Concourse.Â
- adidas replica jerseys and sideline apparel will be available at the Stadium Store.Â
- In-game interactive voting opportunities included with new videoboard promotions throughout the season through the Troy Athletics App.
- New engaging videoboard promotions highlighting student-athletes from various sports.
- Introduction of a Kids Club Correspondent, presented by Troy Pediatric Clinic and Collegiate Health with a videoboard feature each game.
- Introduction of a new promotion in the fourth quarter that will highlight a Troy University Student of The Game for showing their Trojan Spirit throughout the game.

Stadium Club
Stadium Club
- Stadium Club wristbands will be the primary identifier for fans to be inside the area. All patrons must have a Stadium Club wristband on at all times. These items are non-transferable.Â
- Wristbands will picked up upon scanning your ticket for entry into the stadium.
- The check-in lobby opens two hours and 15 minutes before kickoff, allowing fans to come inside from the heat earlier. The Stadium Club will open for ticket holders two hours before kickoff.Â
- Additional space provided in the Lobby for fans to remain inside due to the repositioning of check-in tables.Â
- Improved menu offerings provided for the meals throughout the season.
- The menu for the week will be emailed out to Stadium Club patrons before each home football game.
- The menu will be posted within the Stadium Club as a reminder to all patrons. Â
- Popcorn will remain available throughout the entire game.Â
- Updated and improved key system for all beverage lockers for those who qualify.Â
- Barnes & Noble will have a stadium store set up within the Stadium Club for fans to purchase merchandise.Â
- Security will be positioned at the front of Sections A, B, C and D, checking for tickets / wristbands to gain entry into the Stadium Club seats.
- Security will be positioned at the top of the steps, checking for tickets / wristbands to gain entry into the Stadium Club.Â
- Security will be positioned at the side stairwells, checking for tickets / wristbands to gain entry into the Stadium Club.Â
- Two 90-inch TVs added at the North and South ends of the Stadium Club.
- Additional TVs added throughout the Stadium Club.
- Radio broadcast will be played throughout the Stadium Club speakers.Â
- Improved signage at all entry points into the Stadium Club with pictures of the wristband needed to gain entry into the Stadium Club.Â
- New addition of two cell phone charging stations in the Stadium Club.Â
- Updated images and branding within the area.Â
- New lanyards specifically for the Stadium Club for those who choose cricket tickets.

North End Zone
North End Zone
- Two satellite concession stands will be open in the North End Zone. One will be located on the East wing, while the other will be on the West wing of the North End Zone.Â
- North End Zone wristbands will be the primary identifier for fans inside the North End Zone. All patrons must have a North End Zone wristband on at all times. These items are non-transferable.Â
- Wristbands will be distributed upon scanning your ticket for entry into the stadium.Â
- Introduction of the Coach's Patio as a new premium area available for groups to purchase for a private viewing area of the game.Â

Parking

- Updated parking lot signage to help with better-identifying parking lots.
- Digital parking passes available for single-game parking passes within Lot 5.
- Handicap shuttles will run from the handicapped parking lot (located next to Lot 2) up to the stadium gates.Â

- Season ticket holders receive a branded booklet for those who purchased by the priority deadline, which contains information on all items involving gameday.
- Mobile ticket delivery as an option for all season ticket holders and single-game purchasers.
- Print-at-home ticket delivery as an option for all season ticket holders as well as for single-game purchasers.Â
- All season ticket holders receive a 20 percent off coupon to utilize in the Barnes & Noble Bookstore, and can also be used at the Stadium Store on gameday.Â
