TROY, Ala. – The Troy women's tennis program departs from the Lunsford Tennis Complex as it looks to finish the season in solid fashion with only three matches remaining. This weekend sees the Trojans travel to take on Arkansas State on Friday at 2 p.m. and ULM on Sunday at 10 am.
The Trojans ride a four-game winning streak, sitting seventh in the Sun Belt at 12-5 and 5-3 in conference play. The current four-match winning streak was replicated earlier this season with wins against North Alabama, Lipscomb, Alabama A&M and Alabama State.
Arkansas State (1-14, 0-8 SBC) has struggled this season as it is currently on a nine-match losing streak. ULM (3-16, 1-7 SBC) has also found wins hard to come by this season, now riding a four-match losing streak.

Trojans Look to Extend Winning Streak
Troy enters the weekend coming off two hugs wins against Texas State and Louisiana to conclude its home schedule at 8-4.
First, the Trojans were victorious over Texas State 5-2, with Maria Guirguis dominating singles play against the Bobcats going 6-0, 6-0.
Troy then hosted the Ragin' Cajuns for senior day, winning 4-2. It was a perfect outing for the seniors, with Franziska Ahrend and Andrea Widing leading the way. Ahrend swept her competition in singles, winning 6-4, 6-3, as both seniors finished the day undefeated at 3-0.
Red Wolves' Woes
Arkansas State has struggled this season, only winning one match thus far. The Red Wolves began the season in January with a 7-0 loss at Mississippi State.
The Red Wolves' lone victory came against Arkansas Tech. in late February, winning 5-2.
A bright spot for the Red Wolves this season has been the duo of Anna Borovinskaya and Rebecca Brody. The pair have posted a 2-1 record in doubles teams this season.
Grounded Warhawks
Like the Red Wolves, the 2023 season has been a struggle for ULM. The Warhawks started the season with back-to-back 4-0 defeats at the hands of Louisiana State.
The Warhawks bounced back after the defeat at LSU, winning 4-3 against Missouri State. However, ULM has been victorious only twice since then, defeating Stephen F. Austin 4-3 and Arkansas State 6-1.
Alice Klinteby is 2-0 in singles play, as she is the only unbeaten Warhawk. In doubles teams, Angela Del Campo and Alessandra Anghel have seen some success with a 3-2 record.
