Scoring runs have not been a problem for the Trojans this year. With 41 runs on the season, the Trojans rank second in the Sun Belt in the category, scoring 10 or more runs in three of their four games thus far.
The Trojans have not been shy on the base paths either. Troy is a perfect 20/20 in stolen bases, which is good enough for fourth in the country and second in stolen bases per game (5.00). Hudson Hartsfield has been one of the Trojan's top threats, as he has five on the season, ranking second among all NCAA players with 1.67 stolen bases per game.
After hitting 55 home runs last season, the Trojans have already hit 12 through four games. They are averaging 3.00 home runs per game, putting them fourth in the country among all division one teams. Caleb Bartolero and Shane Lewis each have three on the season, putting them in a tie for third for most by a player.
Troy's pitching continues to be a problem for opposing hitters. With double-digit strikeouts through each of their first four games, they are averaging 12.9 strikeouts per nine innings a year after they set the Troy baseball record at 9.5 last season.
For the second straight weekend Brady Fuller, Zach Fruit, and Grayson Stewart will get the nod on the mound. Stewart, last week against the Aces, earned his first career win as a starter, while Zach Fruit threw 40 fastballs over 95 mph and reached 99 three times.
