Four Trojans Earn Academic All District Nod

TROY, Ala. – Julia Brooks, Jaci Mesa, Amiah Butler and Janelle Stuempfig all earned the Academic All-District honors, the College Sports Communicators announced on Tuesday.

In her senior season, Brooks started and played in all 28 matches and 105 sets for the Trojans. Completing her master's in strategic communications, Brooks finished her career with 1,435 kills and 429 blocks.

Stuempfig, studying biomedical sciences, made her mark on the court for the Trojans, earning three consecutive Sun Belt Setter of the Week and finishing up the season with 1,084 assists.

Butler, studying exercise science, finished the season with 353 kills with 21 double-figure matches. She played 28 matches and 105 sets.

Second-year libero Mesa, working towards a sports management degree, was a cornerstone in the Trojan defense. She appeared in 28 matches and 105 sets, grabbing 365 digs, including a career-high of 23 against in-state rival South Alabama.
