TROY, Ala. – The Troy women's golf team heads to SBC foe Arkansas State's territory for the Lady Red Wolves Classic from Monday, Oct. 16 to Tuesday, Oct. 17.
The Trojans open competition against 15 programs at 8:15 a.m. on Monday at the Sage Meadows Country Club. The course is a par 72 with a yardage of 6,164 yards. The two-day event sees Alyssa Mercado, Laura Fangmeyer, Bruna Roqueta, Katelynn Altese, Samantha Straight and Jillian Friyia battle in Jonesboro.

The Trojans last battled a week ago in Jupiter, Fla., when they fought to a seventh-place finish on a 287 final day.
Roqueta peaked for Troy in the final round, shooting 1-under-par with three birdies and just two bogeys. Through the three-day event, Roqueta finished tied for 28th with Straight. Mercado led the Trojans overall, tying for ninth individually at 7-over. The top 10 finish marked her second of the fall season with six birdies over 54 holes.
Last Year
The last time the Trojans competed in Jonesboro was just over a year ago when they finished 10th out of 16 teams. Altese is the highest-scoring returner after finishing 37th, shooting 233 through three rounds with seven birdies.
Fangmeyer, Friyia and Roqueta followed Altese as returners, tied for 61st, 64th and 72nd, respectively. The Trojans shot 886 through three days as a team, hitting stride on the second day when they shot the fifth-best in the field.
