Men’s Tennis Hosts West Alabama Tuesday

TROY, Ala. – Winners of three straight matches, including a doubleheader sweep at AUM in Friday's home opener, the Troy men's tennis team returns home Tuesday for a 2 p.m. showdown with West Alabama at the Lunsford Tennis Complex.
Carles Anton and Vito Llinares enter Tuesday's match undefeated on the spring season with 3-0 marks in singles after winning twice in Troy's (3-1) victories over AUM on Friday in addition to winning against Binghamton in the opening weekend.
As a team, Troy is 13-8 in singles during the dual match portion of the season, with Mario Martinez Serrano also at the three-win mark, including two wins on court one. Anton and Martinez have teamed up to go 4-2 in doubles in the fall and spring combined, while Llinares and Anton played together for the first time last Friday to a successful result.
The Trojans have enjoyed a lot of success at the top of the lineup posting a 6-1 record on courts one and two this season, while Llinarnes and Francisco Erramuspe have combined to go 3-0 on court six.
West Alabama dropped a pair of exhibition matches at South Alabama last Friday in its first action of the spring.
