TROY, Ala. – The Troy University men's and women's basketball teams have announced that season tickets for the 2022-23 season are now on sale to the public.
The 2021-22 basketball season was kind to the Trojans, as both teams won a combined 44 games and went 22-5 in games played at Trojan Arena. The Troy men earned a four-seed in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament and went 1-1 in the postseason, while the women fell in the SBC championship game. The Trojans also led the Sun Belt Conference in attendance and sold the most tickets in program history in 2021-22.
Additionally, the women's team captured another Sun Belt Conference regular season championship and hosted Alabama in the first round of the Women's NIT Tournament. Troy went 24-9 overall in 2021-22, posted a 13-2 conference record, and earned the top seed in the SBC Tournament.
"We are working to have another record-breaking season, and we want our season-ticket sales to break records as well," head coach Chanda Rigby said. "Nothing means more to us than getting to play in front of the home fans in Trojan Arena. I want to thank each season ticket holder for creating such a special environment of support for all of the women in our program."
Men's hoops enters the 2022-23 season after capturing 20 wins last year, the most wins by the Trojans since the 2016-17 campaign that saw Troy win the Sun Belt Tournament to punch its ticket to an NCAA Tournament game against Duke.
"We are fired up about the upcoming season," head coach Scott Cross said. "The Troy men's basketball team is ready to make some noise and bring home a championship to Troy. We will play fast, we will be exciting, we will be tough, and we will play great defense. You will not want to miss any opportunity to watch this basketball team play."
