TROY, Ala. – The 10th annual Trojan Tour hits the road this spring and summer with 10 stops across Alabama and the Florida Panhandle, Director of Athletics Brent Jones announced Friday. Trojan Tour '22 kicks-off in Troy with a BBQ in Tailgate Terrace prior a Troy vs. Coastal Carolina baseball game.
Â
"Trojan Tour is one of our favorite events of the year because we are able to go on the road and see our fans on their home turf," Jones said. "It's a rewarding experience for both our staff and coaches plus our fans to have these events and be able to connect on a more personal level. We once again have a great lineup including a pair of Minor League Baseball games at beautiful ballparks, several great restaurants, a golf outing and an amazing distillery."
Â
Trojan Tour opens with music, inflatables and a BBQ lunch beginning at 12 p.m. in Tailgate Terrace on Saturday, May 14, prior to game two of a key Sun Belt Conference baseball series against Coastal Carolina.Â
Â
The kickoff event to Trojan Tour is one of three that will be held in conjunction with a baseball game, as Troy Athletics will hold stops in Pensacola on June 16 prior to a Blue Wahoos game and on August 6 in Montgomery prior to a Biscuits game. Additionally, Trojan Tour will make stops in Dothan, Birmingham, Enterprise, Huntsville, Phenix City, Greenville and Fort Walton Beach.
Â
Admission to all Trojan Tour socials is free; however, the events held in Montgomery and Pensacola will require a game ticket to be purchased, and some locations will require separate food purchases. A free game ticket and food voucher will be provided to the first 50 fans who RSVP for the June 16 event in Pensacola.
Â
Each Trojan Tour stop will feature Director of Athletics Brent Jones and football head coach Jon Sumrall. Men's basketball head coach Scott Cross and women's basketball head coach Chanda Rigby plus various other Troy coaches and administrators will be featured across Trojan Tour as well.
