TROY, Ala. – For the first time in four years, Troy baseball will travel to Jonesboro, Ark., for a three-game series taking on the Red Wolves beginning on Friday, April 22, at 6 p.m.

The Trojans have dropped the last two meetings against Arkansas State, including their matchup in last year's Sun Belt conference tournament. This will be the 52^nd meeting all-time between the programs, with Troy holding a 36-15 advantage over the Red Wolves. Troy is 18-3 when playing in Jonesboro.

Troy will be looking to bounce back against the bottom team in the conference after dropping two of three to South Alabama last weekend.

Catcher Clay Stearns has been a workhorse behind the plate, starting in 23 consecutive games. In that time, he leads the league with 292 putouts, with no errors and 11 runners caught stealing, which is second in the Sun Belt.

The Trojans will see a shakeup to their weekend rotation as Rigsby Mosley will get set to make his first Saturday start. In 17.2 innings pitched, Mosley has the lowest ERA on the team sitting at 1.53. Garrett Gainous will go for his sixth win of the season on Friday, looking to add to his strikeout total, which is at 55, fourth-most in the conference. Brady Fuller wraps up the weekend throwing Sunday.

Since being inserted as a regular into the starting lineup, Kyle Mock, over the last 13 games, is hitting .400 with 20 hits and 15 RBIs. In that time, he has set a career-high 11-game hitting streak.

The Red Wolves won their first two conference games of the season last weekend against Little Rock, having only won seven games all year. Their .245 team batting average sits last in the conference while giving up the second most earned runs per game at 6.65.
