Troy will be looking for their ninth straight win at home, where they enter 13-1 overall this season. The last time out, the Trojans swept Louisiana to open conference play.
Trojan pitchers enter the weekend continuing their strong season with the second-lowest earned run average in the conference at 3.63, holding opponents to a .249 batting average thus far.
10.4 strikeouts per nine innings continue to be the highest in program history and nationally rank 33rd in the nation.
When Troy has a lead after five innings, they are a perfect 11-0 this season, and it's in part to dominant performances coming out of the bullpen. Keaton Fuller, Kyle Gamble, Marquez Oates, and Grayson Stewart have all pitched at least 15 innings. Gamble is second in the nation with a 1.50 FIP (fielding independent pitching), while Oates's sixth saves on the year are the second-most in the Sun Belt.
Trey Leonard will look to keep his eight-game hitting streak going as he comes into the series with a .377 batting average, good enough for fifth-best in the Sun Belt.
The Trojans of Little Rock come to Troy having won one Sun Belt game this season, yet they lead the league in batting with a .310 average. Little Rock will send Hayden Arnold, Erik McKnight with a pitcher to be announced Sunday to the mound. Arnold has a 2.29 ERA in 39.1 innings pitched with three wins to lead the Little Rock pitching staff in all three categories.
