HOMUA, La. – Troy climbed one spot on the leaderboard into fifth place following Tuesday's final round of the Ellendale Invitational at the Ellendale Country Club. The Trojans finished with 56 birdies and an eagle at the tournament as they pledged a donation per birdied to the University of the Southwest golf program.

Will McFadden led the Trojans with a 1-under 71 in Tuesday's final round thanks to five birdies on the day; he finished the week 1-under with seven birdies and an eagle to place sixth overall for his sixth top-10 finish in nine tournaments this year.

Southeastern Louisiana won the team title by one shot as the Lions held off a late charge by North Alabama. Troy finished 18-over par of the week as teams battled 20 mile-per-hour winds during Tuesday's round.

Kyle Cornelius, who played as an individual, turned in his best finish of the year with a 1-over 217 as he tied for ninth place, while Brantley Scott tied for 21^st place after shooting 4-over on the day and for the tournament.

Nicklas Borrmann fired his third straight 74 to finish the week in a tie for 26^th place, and Jake Springer had the most eventful day among the Trojans with a team-high six birdies as he shot a 2-over 74 and finished in a tie for 39^th place. George Burch tied for 64^th after a 76 on Tuesday, and Reagan Harrell finished in 73^rd place.

Troy has one more tune-up before the Sun Belt Conference Championship as the Trojans travel to West Lafayette, Ind., for the Boilermaker Invitational April 10-12.
