Troy Track and Field Returns to Action at USC

TROY, Ala.- The Troy men's and women's track and field teams aim for another successful weekend at the Weems Baskin Invitational, traveling to the University of South Carolina on March 25-26.
The Trojans begin their two-day event on Friday at noon as the women compete in the hammer throw before concluding at 7:05 p.m. with the men's 5,000-meter. Saturday's events open at 10 a.m. with the women's 1500-meter and men's discus, ending in the men's 4x400-meter relay.

Keep the Momentum Going
Edita Sklenska and Alex Robinson headlined the Tiger Track Classic for Troy, capturing a combined four podium finishes and a broken record.
Sklenska opened her meet with a fourth-place finish in the 400-meter before competing in her first-ever 1500-meter. With a 4:25.02, Sklenska shattered the Trojan record by six seconds, granting her the silver in the event.
Robinson found his way to the podium on three occasions over the weekend, including a personal record, 10.53, for second place in the men's 100-meter. First-place was Jaleel Gilbert, setting a personal record of his own with a 10.49.
The 3000-meter steeple saw three Trojans secure a spot on the podium. For the men, Blake Vaughn grabbed a second-place finish at 10:05.09, with Dylan Nelson right behind in third at 10:37.34. Lauren Locke sat atop the podium for the women's team with an 11:30.64.
