TROY, Ala. - Troy marches back with three-straight points to capture its first conference win of the season on Sunday, 4-2, over Georgia Southern at the Lunsford Tennis Complex.
With the first conference win of the season, the Trojans (6-9, 1-3 SBC) end their longest drought to start conference play in head coach Rawia Elsisi's tenure and snap a three-match losing streak against the defending Sun Belt champions.

After a hard-fought loss in doubles, the Trojans trailed as they entered singles competition, 1-0.
Michelle Ncube started the Trojans off, dismantling Sophie Wagemaker in her match. After capturing the first set, 6-2, Ncube finished the job at 6-3 to tie the match, 1-1.
Next, Kristina Kukaras gave Troy the lead, 2-1, taking the first set, 6-1. Paula Hijos battled in the second set before Kukaras took control and the point, winning 6-4.
In straight sets, Hagar Amin finished the 3-0 run for the Trojans over Sonja Keranen. Amin swept the first set with a 6-0 final score. She followed it in the second, putting Troy at match point, 3-1, with the 6-4 victory.
