Take Home a Piece of History; Troy Auctioning “Troy State” Game-Worn Jerseys

TROY, Ala. – In celebration of Troy State's NCAA record-breaking 258-point game in 1992, the Troy men's basketball team will wear "Troy State" jerseys for its game against Little Rock on Saturday. Troy Athletics is auctioning off 14 of the jerseys plus the game shorts; fans can bid on their piece of history by visiting TroyTrojans.com/auctions.
Bidding starts at $125 for each of the 14 jerseys and short combos. The auctions are open now and will run through Friday, Feb. 18, at 5 p.m. Winners located in the Troy area can pick up items at the Troy Athletics Ticket Office beginning Wednesday, Feb. 23, while winners outside the area will have their items shipped.
Fans can bid on the following jersey numbers – 0, 1, 3, 5, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15, 20, 21, 22 and 23.
The highlight of the evening will be honoring the members of the 1992 Troy State men's basketball team led by legendary coach Don Maestri. All team members are invited back for this game as Troy's guests, will receive free tickets to the game and be part of a special presentation during halftime.
Additionally, 2,000 t-shirts highlighting the old T-Roy mascot design and "Troy State" sponsored by Premier Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram will be distributed while supplies last as fans enter Trojan Arena. Rally towels commemorating the historic record will be made available to the Troy student section to be used throughout the game.
*This auction is not a donation to Troy University, and the winner will not receive a gift letter from the University.
