Troy Athletics Announces Second Annual First Pitch Banquet for Jan. 27

TROY, Ala – Troy Athletics is proud to announce the second annual First Pitch Banquet to support and recognize the Trojan baseball and softball programs. The event is scheduled for Friday, Jan. 27, 2023, and will take place in Trojan Arena from 6:30-8:30 p.m.
The event will highlight the upcoming baseball season under Skylar Meade and the softball program led by first-year head coach Eric Newell. Fans in attendance will have the opportunity to bid on exclusive Troy memorabilia, gameday experiences, and more in a silent auction. Additionally, attendees can mix and mingle with players and coaches from both teams and sit in on question-and-answer sessions with select players.
"We are so excited for our second annual first pitch banquet with Coach Newell and Troy softball," Meade said. "Last year was a great experience for our players, fans, families, and community. This event is truly a kickoff to the spring season for baseball and softball, and we hope that Trojan fans can come to support our student-athletes."
Those wishing to attend the banquet can purchase individual tickets for $75 or an entire table (eight seats) for $600 – a baseball and softball team member will be seated at each table. Table sponsorships are also available for $1,000, which includes one table and recognition at the banquet via the ribbon boards and video board. Dinner and drinks are included with the price of each ticket.
"The 2023 season is right around the corner, and the players and coaches are so excited," Newell said. "Several returning players and a handful of new players have the excitement level at an all-time high. We are looking forward to our upcoming first pitch event, hoping this day will be a great event to promote, support, and interact with one another before the season begins."
