Llinares, Erramuspe Win at Bedford Cup to Lead Troy

TALLAHASSEE, Fla. – Vito Llinares won his opening round match up and Francisco Erramuspe won in the consolation draw to lead Troy in Friday's action of the Bedford Cup at the Florida State Scott Speicher Memorial Tennis Center.

Llinares battled Florida Gulf Coasts' Eric Oncins to three sets, 6-2, 4-6, 6-0. However, the tables turned in the second round as Florida State's Alex Bulte won in three sets over Llinares, 6-7 (5), 6-3, 6-0. Erramuspe took care of Stetson's Juan Jose Rodriguez in what might have been the match of the day. The pair split the first two sets by identical 6-4 scores before Erramuspe won 10-8 in the third-set super tiebreaker.

Play continues Saturday with singles and doubles action.
