Trojans Secure Double-Bye in Sun Belt Conference Tournament

TROY, Ala. – After a historic season for Troy volleyball, the Trojans will see a double bye in the Sun Belt Conference Tournament as they cemented themselves as the number two seed in the west, putting them directly in the quarterfinals.
As the second seed in the west, the Trojans won't play until Friday, Nov. 18, at noon. Troy has the possibility of playing Arkansas State, Georgia State, or Old Dominion. If Troy were to advance to the semifinals, they would match up with James Madison, Southern Miss, or Georgia Southern.
After the first 11 conference match win season in program history, the Trojans will look to continue making history as they try to advance to the championship game for the first time. The Trojans have not advanced past the semifinals in any of the previous Sun Belt Conference Tournaments.
This year's event will be contested November 16-20 at the Foley Events Center in Foley, Ala. Each of the tournament's 13 matches will be broadcast on ESPN+. This will mark the third consecutive year that the Sun Belt Championship will take place in Foley.
Tickets may be purchased online through the Foley Sports Tourism Box Office. Tickets are sold on a daily basis and are $10 per day for adults and $5 per day for children ages 12 and under. Students of Sun Belt Conference institutions are admitted free with a valid student ID.
The 2022 bracket was determined by winning percentage against divisional foes only. The top-two seeds on both the East and West sides earn automatic byes to the quarterfinal round.
