Trojans Welcome Warhawks for a Pair of Weekend Matches
10/20/2022 3:00:00 PM | Volleyball
TROY, Ala – The Trojans return to the friendly confines of Trojan Arena on a five-game win streak to begin a four-game homestand against the ULM Warhawks on Friday, Oct. 21, at 6 p.m. and Saturday, Oct. 22, at 1 p.m. with both games being streamed on ESPN+.
The five-game win streak for the Trojans is the longest since the 2020 season, which saw Troy win six games in a row. Protecting the home court this season has been a part of Troy's success, as they are 5-2 when playing at home.
For the second consecutive week, a Trojan took home Sun Belt accolades as Amara Anderson was voted setter of the week. It was the ninth time in her career taking home the honor. Anderson recorded a conference-high of 12.86 assists per set in the Trojan's weekend sweep of Arkansas State. Her 90 total assists were the second most by a Sun Belt player, with game one against the Red Wolves seeing her put up over 50 assists for the fourth time this season, finishing with 53, which were the most by any player over the weekend.
Putting up big numbers is nothing new for Anderson. Earlier this season, she became the all-time career assists leader in Troy program history and is the only Trojan to surpass 5000 career assists. Totaling 775 assists thus far, Anderson ranks 22 in the nation and 50th in assists per set.

Where: Troy, Ala.
When: Friday, October 21 – 6 p.m.
