Two Trojans Under Par at Graeme McDowell Invitational

GADSDEN, Ala. – The Troy men's golf team is tied for sixth place following two rounds of the Graeme McDonald Invitational, which opened Monday at the RTJ at Silver Lakes Golf Course. Complete results are not available as three teams were pulled off the course due to darkness.
Will McFadden and Brantley Scott are both under par following 36 holes, with McFadden 2-under following rounds of 71 on both trips through the course, while Scott is 1-under thanks to a 2-under 70 in the second round. Fadden is tied for seventh place overall and Scott is tied for 10th place.
McFadden carded four birdies in the opening round and five in the second round; he found his home on the final three holes on the front nine with six combined birdies on seven thru nine, and Scott finished the day with nine birdies.
Nicolas Borrmann, who is tied for 29th place, also shot under par in the second round with a 1-under 71 thanks to a card that featured an eagle and four birdies. In the second round, the Trojans shot 2-under 286, seven shots better than their opening run through the course.
No. 36 UAB holds a 12-shot lead over Texas State, while Lipscomb is 16 shots back in third place.
Jake Springer is tied for 45th place at 4-over after shooting 74 in each round on Monday, while Kyle Cornelius is in 88thplace. Reagan Harrell is competing as an individual and is tied for 83rd.
Troy will be paired with Lipscomb and Georgia State for Tuesday's final round, with the first good slated to hit the 10th tee box at noon.
