Women's Golf Set for Sea Best Classic

TROY, Ala. – The Troy women's golf team returns to the course looking to build on some momentum from a strong performance at the Hoover Invite last week. The Trojans head to Ponte Verdra Beach, Fla., for the Sea Best Jacksonville Classic on Monday and Tuesday at the Marsh Landing Country Club.
Troy placed third at the Hoover Invite behind a strong performance from ShaeLee Scarberry. The Trojan junior finished second overall after shooting 2-under for the week with back-to-back rounds in the red to end the tournament. Scarberry has a 1.33 score vs. par through six rounds this year and has led Troy in both events.
Elizabeth Caldarelli is off to a hot start to the season with a 2.33 score vs. par and is the lone Trojan with all six of her individual rounds counting towards the team card. Elisabeth Preus started strong last week, sitting 3-over following 36 holes en route to a tie for 20th place.
Bruna Roqueta is back in the lineup for the Trojans after she carded rounds of 75 and 72 in her Troy debut in the opener, and Anna Claire Little will make her third straight appearance for Trojans and enters the week with a 4.17 score vs. par.
Troy will have a trio of individuals on the course for the Sea Best Classic, with Alyssa Mercado appearing for the third time in her first season at Troy, while Brooklyn Bostick will make her season debut and Brinson Hall will make her collegiate debut.

Troy's five in the lineup will tee off at 7:30 a.m. (CT), beginning on the sixth hole for the shotgun start, while the individuals will start on 15 thru 17.
