CONWAY, S.C. – Troy used another fast start to complete a road sweep over Coastal Carolina by way of a 10-6 victory over the Chanticleers Sunday afternoon at Springs Brooks Stadium. The Trojans have now swept back-to-back Sun Belt series for the first time since 2011 and handed the Chants their first sweep in a three-game conference series since they joined the Sun Belt.
Nine Trojans hit safely for the second consecutive game in Troy's first road conference sweep since 2019. Caleb Bartolero (2-for-3, 2 R, RBI) and Nic Nolan (2-for-5, 2 R, 2 RBI) paced Troy's 10-hit outing. Logan Cerny homered for the 14th time this season, the most by any player in the league.
Bay Witcher (5-2) tossed five scoreless frames and allowed just three hits to record the win on the mound.
The Trojans (24-21, 10-8 SBC) plated the game's first run in the opening frame after Bartolero poked an RBI single the opposite way. Troy would load the bases in the inning, but managed just the one run.
A two-run blast from Logan Cerny, his 14th homer of the season gave the Trojans a three-run lead after two innings. A four-spot in the fourth, highlighted by a Donovan Whibbs two-RBI double, pushed the Troy advantage to 7-0 after the third inning.
Three more runs came across for the Trojans in the fourth with Nolan, Clay Stearns and Whibbs all logging an RBI in the inning.
Coastal Carolina (21-21, 5-10 SBC) didn't go away quietly, however, using four home runs to climb back into the ball game at 10-6 after eight innings. Max Newton entered in the ninth and struck out one while retiring all three batters he faced to preserve the win.

I'm really happy for our players, they played exceptionally hard throughout the series. Anytime you sweep a team of this caliber it's quite an accomplishment. We had another fast start and Bay Witcher did a great job in five innings with no runs. Give [Coastal Carolina] credit, they're very capable and no lead is safe the way they swing the bats. A lot to be proud of from this weekend."
