Forty-Four Troy Student-Athletes Graduated Friday

TROY, Ala. – Troy student-athletes were well represented at Troy University's Spring Commencement Exercises held Friday in Trojan Arena; 44 Troy student-athletes from 13 different programs had their degrees conferred.

Two separate commencement exercises were held in Trojan Arena due to COVID-19 restrictions and the ceremonies were also simulcast in Veterans Memorial Stadium. Troy's 44 student-athletes joined some 939 students who received degrees Friday. Graduates represented 30 U.S. states and territories and 17 countries.

Founding and senior pastor of Church of the Highlands Chris Hodges provided the keynote address at both commencement exercises. Known for his relevant teaching style and his passion for raising up global leaders to fulfill the Great Commission, Hodges leads a congregation spanning 23 campuses with some 60,000 people attending more than 70 worship services each weekend.

His educational background includes a bachelor's degree in management from Colorado Christian University and a Master of Ministry degree from Southwestern Christian University.
