Troy Prepped for Sun Belt Conference Tournament Run

TROY, Ala. – The three-seeded Troy Softball team will kick start its Sun Belt Conference Tournament run against the sixth-seeded UT Mavericks Wednesday at the Troy Softball Complex.
First pitch is set for 3 p.m., and the game will be aired on ESPN+.
Troy's (34-12, 17-6 Sun Belt) offense is highlighted by four all-conference selections that lead off the lineup (Jade Sinness, Katie Lively, Katie Webb and Kelly Horne). Webb, a senior, leads the charge batting at a .384 mark with 15 doubles, five home runs and 32 RBIs.
Leanna Johnson reigns at the helm of the Trojan pitching staff. The First Team All-Sun Belt member leads the league in ERA (1.60), strikeouts (235) and wins (20).
SCOUTING THE MAVERICKS:
UT Arlington (16-32, 9-14 Sun Belt) heads into the tournament after falling in all three games of the final regular season series to Texas State.
The Mavericks' offense is led by First Team All-Sun Belt selection K.J. Murphy. The senior leads UT Arlington batting at .420 with 12 doubles, six home runs and 31 RBIs.
In the circle, Kennedy Hines has seen the majority of time in the circle. Hines boasts a 5.69 ERA with 32 strikeouts over 83.2 innings of work.
