Men's Tennis Will Meet UTA in Sun Belt Tournament Quarterfinals

TROY, Ala. – The Troy men's tennis team will open the Sun Belt Conference Tournament on Friday against UT Arlington. The Trojans and Mavericks quarterfinal match is set to begin at 1 p.m. (CT) in Peachtree City, Ga. at the Peachtree City Tennis Center.
Troy will enter the 2021 SBC Tournament as the No. 2 seed while UTA will be the No. 7 seed. Troy earned the second seed after posting a Sun Belt best, 19-3 overall record and a 3-2 record inside the conference. The Mavericks, who didn't play a single Sun Belt match this season, posted a 7-10 overall record but played one of the tougher schedules in the Sun Belt that featured six matches against nationally ranked opponents, including the second ranked Baylor Bears.
The 2021 Sun Belt Conference Tournament will feature all seven Sun Belt programs in a single elimination event. Three matches will be played on Friday, highlighted by Troy's 1 p.m. contest vs UTA. The winner of Troy's match vs UTA will play the winner of the match between No. 6 Louisiana and No. 3 South Alabama. That semifinal match is scheduled to be played on Saturday, April 24 at 1 p.m.
The entirety of the championship event will be streamed live on EPSN+ and will feature live stats via Tennis Ticker.
