Men's Tennis wins seventh straight on Friday

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. – The Troy men's tennis teamed won its seventh straight match by defeating Alabama A&M 7-0 ono Friday. The win was Troy's 13th of the season, moving then Trojans to 13-1 on the year. With the loss, Alabama A&M falls to 1-4.
Troy got things started with a dominate performance in doubles. Troy wrapped up the doubles point in a hurry with two quick wins on courts on one and two. The first win came from the duo of Amer Bedwan and Carles Anton on court two before the pair of Nicolas Simkin and Christopher Tasker earned the victory on court one.
The Trojans continued their strong play a straight sets, 6-0, 6-0 win on court two by Manuel Bernard. The wins kept coming for Troy when Amer Bedwan earned the win on court three for the Trojans to move the score to 3-0. The match was clinched on court one with Carles Anton earning the 6-3, 6-3 victory. The match clinching win was followed by wins from Vito Llinares, Christopher Tasker and Nicolas Simkin on courts five, six and four.
Troy will be back at home on Monday, March 8 for the first time since Feb. 14 when it hosts Jacksonville State.
