Men's Golf Through Two Rounds at the Schenkel

STATESBORO, Ga. – Will McFadden carded four birdies and shot under par for the second straight day to lead the Troy men's golf team at the Schenkel Invitational on Saturday at the Forest Heights Country Club. Tory fell a pair of spots into 13th place as a team.
McFadden picked up a pair of birdies on both sides of the turn compared to just three bogeys to finish the round with a 1-under 71 after shooting 3-under in Friday's opening round. McFadden is tied for eighth place heading into Sunday's final round.
The remainder of Troy's lineup struggled through the second round with Nicklas Borrmann's 76 the next best round which landed him in a tie for 64th position. George Burch shot 6-over to sit tied for 67th, Brent Hamm is tied for 71st place after shooting 7-over and Jarrod Johnson is in 80th position after a 10-over. Playing as an individual, Ryan Morrison carded a 5-over and is in 76th place.
No. 21 NC State extended its lead over No. 40 Georgia Southern to 14 shots while Furman is 16 shots back in third. Troy is a shot back of Cincinnati and 10 shots behind No. 38 Kentucky.
Troy will play Sunday's final round with Memphis and Kentucky beginning at 8:33 a.m. (CT) from the 10th tee.
