The Trojans look to split the season series with the Tide after falling 9-1 in the first contest two weeks ago in Tuscaloosa. Alabama used a six-run third inning to pull away from Troy early in the contest. Nic Nolan went 2-for-3 at the plate while Drew Frederic's solo homer in the sixth was the lone Trojan run scored.
DJ Wilkinson is poised to make his third start of the year Tuesday against Alabama. The righty tossed 2.2 scoreless innings in relief of Kyle Gamble two weeks ago in the first meeting between the schools.
The Troy bats began to show signs of life in the weekend series against Tulane. The Trojans exploded for 12 runs on a season-high 17 hits in the Saturday contest against the Green Wave. Troy is once again one of the best doubles-hitting teams in the nation in 2021, ranking seventh nationally with 36 two-baggers on the year.
Caleb Bartolero, who had four hits on the year entering Saturday's game against Tulane, doubled his season hit total with a 4-for-4, three-RBI day at the plate and hit a double and a home run in the same inning.
Rigsby Mosley appeared back to his normal self last week, minus the mullet. Since getting his hair cut early last week, Mosley is 8-for-16 (.500) with two doubles, a stolen base and has scored three runs.

Know Your Foe
- Alabama wrapped up the week at 4-1 overall to push the Tide's win total to 14 on the season. The Crimson Tide first downed South Alabama on Tuesday followed by a win over Jacksonville State on Wednesday. Alabama then came away victorious, 2-1, in a three-game weekend series with Stetson.
- Owen Diodati recorded his third grand slam of the season, this one in walkoff fashion as the sophomore's roundtripper led Alabama to an 11-8 win over South Alabama on Tuesday night at Sewell-Thomas Stadium.
- Alabama's offense has shown early power during the 2021 season, producing two-or-more home runs in seven of 17 games and at least one home run in 11 games overall. That power surge has pushed UA's home run total to 21 heading into Tuesday's game.
